These weighted thumpers are made for those bottoms who like THUD! You know who you are!!
The handles have been 3d scanned from my turned acrylic handles to match the same shape and size. They are 3d printed out of strong ABS plastic (Legos!) and vapor smoothed to a glass like finish. They do not look or feel 3d printed.
The interchangeable bottles are printed in TPU which is a flexible form of plastic and screw onto the handle. They have a noticeable squish to them to help absorb some impact and to not feel like a 1.5 lb. bar hitting you. The bottles are filled with steel shot and sealed. In total the thumpers weigh 1.25-1.5 lbs. on average. Style of bottle plays a little part in the final weight.
The handle length is just over 6 inches long. The bottles total length (including threads) is just over 5” long.
There are currently 4 bottle option designs available.
A plain round bottle which has the most give.
A round bottle with a flat side which makes it feel more like a heavy paddle. Use the round side for a more gentle hit or use the dense corner for a deeper smack!
A round bottle with 8 rounded half balls, 2 on each corner. The balls are solid and have no give but the bottle around it does. So it adds a more pressure point type hit.
A bottle with 4 half balls and 4 cones. Double stacked and opposite of each type. You get the pressure point hit of the balls but also have the very pointy nubs as well. The pointed cones are rather sharp and have caused blood to be drawn.
When you choose handle and bottle color, a popup lets you pick the bottle type after, adding it to your cart.
**TPU forms very strong bonds and seals itself very well. It is also very chemically resistant. That being said, there is always a chance particles can be trapped in some layer lines. You can easily disinfect the bottles with the typical chemicals used as long as you do not soak them in the chemical for longer periods of time. Be mindful of this when purchasing the version with sharp cones and consider your own risk profiles if you intend to use it between multiple people.
**I have rigorously tested these toys before bringing them to market. I have hit tables and other solid objects as hard as I can as well as table edges to try and separate the layers in the bottle. I believe this is as strong as I can make these.
**Vapor smoothing 3d printed pieces is a bit of an art form. Too long in the acetone vapors and the part starts dripping. Too little and not all of the layers are perfectly smooth, especially on the very top of the handle. While I make every attempt to have each handle perfect, there will be some that still show some striations, primarily at the very top.
